The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) office for Region 6 is located at Hardin Library for the Health Sciences at the University of Iowa. By collaborating, training, and funding over 1,100 health centers, health departments, community organizations, as well as medical, public, and school libraries in a seven state region, the office supports the mission of NNLM: to provide U.S. researchers, health professionals, public health workforce, educators, and the public with equal access to biomedical and health information resources and data.
Region 6 serves the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

NNLM Region 6 Staff at MLA ‘24
It’s May and time for The Medical Library Association’s annual conference being held in Portland, OR this year. Linda Walton and Erica Lake from Region 6 will be at the conference and hope to attend your sessions and view your posters. We always look forward to seeing the impact Region 6 members have on the profession. If you are attending, we encourage you to check out the conference schedule and support your regional colleagues. We have a great representation at MLA ’24! Additionally, staff from across NNLM have sessions and posters at the conference and the National Library of Medicine also has several sessions. Know Your Flow: A Menstrual Health Collaboration
Why do we expect to find toilet paper and paper towels but not period products in a public bathroom? Know Your Flow is a partnership between the NNLM Region 6 Ohio State Advisory Group and Aunt Flow to help everyone access quality health information and free period products. Together we can reduce stigma and promote menstrual equity. Learn how you can help and join the campaign!
